To
determine the length you need,
consider the following: The 'Tweenie' is for hair just long
enough to make into a ponytail. It's also fun for wrapping smaller sections of hair. For shoulder length hair (approximately
4 inches from the nape) select 'Short'. If your hair comes
to about your shoulder blades (up to 8 inches from the nape)
choose 'Medium'. For mid-back length (up to 12 inches long),
'Long' will be best for you. For very long hair (about 16 inches),
choose 'X-Long'.
Having
said all that, you may need a longer wrap if your hair is very thick,
or a shorter wrap is you have thinner hair. Also, the French
Braid look requires a longer wrap than the plain braid.
You
will probably find it easier, at least the first few times, to secure
your ponytail with an elastic prior to using your Hair Wrap.
If,
after wrapping, you find the wrap doesnít quite fit, here
are a couple of things to try. If the wrap is too long (beads &
leather 'left over'), position the wraps closer together; conversely,
if it seems too short, make the wraps further apart.
If
the leather is longer than you need (which is more likely to happen
with finer hair), try wrapping the top of the braid once or twice
with leather before sliding the first bead in place. Or use the
beads on the outside of the braid and simply twist the leather on the under-side.
If
you have too many beads (more likely if you have thick hair), you
can slide 2 beads at a time, either on the front or the back of
the braid. Or you can remove the extra beads by sliding them off
the end of the wrap (don't do this until you have tried it out a
few times - you may not be able toget them back on).
Experiment
a bit, and have fun. We would love to see pictures of the looks
you create!
